I always get the question what is Q-It ?

It is a fun play on words. The word Cue, being a positive way to ask your dog to perform a behaviour, with the opportunity to earn reinforcement. And in agility you earn Q’s for qualifying runs. I thought it was a fun way to incorporate positive reinforcement training and my favourite dog sport together.

Q-It Dog Training uses positive reinforcement and force free training to educate people and dogs. Using game based learning in order to teach you and your dog how powerful positive reinforcement is.

Souris is a long ways for lots of students. So this year 2025, I will offer weekly classes, as well seminars. Seminars will be 3 - 4 hours, with a max 6 dogs, and focus on specific topics. Come for an afternoon of agility and then hit up the best beach on PEI for a swim.

2025 online classes are currently on hold. They will be coming back with new stuff featuring my 2 young border collies, Hillbilly Deluxe and The Perfect Storm - Whilwind.

To busy for a weekly group class ? Learn from home, and at your own pace.

Learn from the comfort of your home. The classes are also run on a private Facebook page, where you can share your video with the class, or send them privately. You will get step by step instructions, a picture, and a youtube link for each skill. Download the entire package to work through it at your own pace, or choose to have the lessons emailed to you on a biweekly basis. Working Spots and Auditing spots are available. Working spots will include video feedback. Auditing spots have access to all information, but video review is not included. You can also purchase video feed back separately.

Foundations for a Perfect Puppy

Online puppy class is now available !!!

This puppy class will teach you and your dog the core skills of a perfect puppy. Focusing on building a super relationship through games that build value in being close to you, calmness in the house, and a dog you can take anywhere. Learn the skills necessary for your active outdoor life style, settling at the cafe, being comfortable with bikes, farm animals, and having a really reliable off leash recall.

Recommended age: Under 20 weeks. Best to start between 12-20 weeks old.
Small breeds are welcome in Puppy class up to 6 months of age. If you have missed the age cut off, no worries there is another class for you, and your young dog. We will cover everything from puppy class.
Just the first two sets of core vaccines are required to begin class

To young for class ? but want to get started with your training, begin with a private in home lesson.

Introducing puppy to your other animals at home
House training
How to build value for you
Learning boundaries like crates / exercise pens
Play
Walking on leash
Coming when called
Socializing with other puppies

This can all be achieved trough GAMES !

Fun games that teach real life skill. You will have fun training your puppy. Whether your puppies future is going to be a family pet, or a world class agility champion! All of this can be achieved through the POWER of POSITIVE.

Puppy Sparks is learning, its not always play time. Calmness in your boundary at home is a foundation.

Private in home lessons are a great way to work around your busy schedule if you can’t commit to a weekly class. Private lessons are geared towards your specific struggles around your home and are also great for dogs who maybe not ready for a class setting.

Bring home your first Puppy ! or maybe you have not had a puppy in a long time, and need a refresher.
Bring home a new rescue dog. Making your new family member feel at home, with some help, can make this transition time much easier.
You need help with a specific behaviour problem in the house and need a plan !
You need practice around other dogs. No problem! I can bring a cool calm dog with me, to help set your dog up for success !
